is perfectly suited to our concept,” Stilwell said, “that
provides great food and great value for our customers. We are excited
about having these three new franchise partners introduce our concept
in northern California.”
While Tejpal has already
identified a location for his restaurant in Stockton, Wassell and Popal
are in the “process of finalizing their first locations,”
Stilwell said. He emphasized that all of the new restaurants would be
situated in vibrant shopping centers within easy driving distance of a
number of residential neighborhoods.
Plans call for Tejpal
to introduce his Stockton restaurant some time early in 2006, with Wassell
and Popal opening their first Eatza Pizza units during the first or second
quarters of next year, Stilwell said.
“We are truly
excited about entering the northern California market in an aggressive
way,” Stilwell stated. “The Eatza Pizza concept continues
to be well received by the American dining public,” “with
most of our restaurants showing double-digit increases in same store sales
over last year. Our goal is to create a mainstream brand image that will
resonate with families looking for a quick and enjoyable dining experience
