COUSINS SUBS OPENS IN WATERFORD
Local Owners Debut Second Restaurant, Leave Door Open for Future Development
(WATERFORD, Wis.)--- Longtime Waterford residents Ken and Vicki Frenz recently opened a Cousins Subs shop at 315 Milwaukee St. This is the couple’s second location – they purchased their first one in Muskego in 2005 – and they could open additional Cousins restaurants in the area within the next few years.
Cousins Subs has been a staple in Vicki’s life for more than 15 years as she has worked for the chain in some capacity since the age of 16. This familiarity, paired with Ken’s nearly two decades with the Pick ‘n Save grocery chain, proved to be the perfect match for the Cousins brand.
“People in Wisconsin know and love Cousins and Vicki and I are no exception: We’re business owners as well as regular customers,” said Ken. “Since we’ve experienced this brand from both sides of the counter, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our customers and opening a second location allowed us to do just that.”
Founded in 1972, Cousins Subs is a restaurant specializing in East Coast-style submarine sandwiches made with the finest ingredients served on a variety of freshly-baked breads, along with salads, soups, chips and soft drinks. Cousins Subs currently operates 15 company-owned units and 135 franchised locations in six states. By the end of 2010, the company hopes to continue its strategic regional growth and open an additional 25 units throughout the Midwest including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Arizona.
