The mystique surrounding Schlotzsky's® began the moment we opened
our first restaurant in Austin, Texas, more than 30 years ago. The menu
was succinctone delectable sandwich composed of a unique combination
of premium meats, fresh cheeses, and marinated olives served on hot Schlotzsky's
sourdough bread. Dubbed "The original", with origins tracing
back to the Tuscan countryside, world-famous artisan breads, savory cheeses,
flavorful meats, natural herbs and oils offering uniquely satisfying fare.
As our customers'
tastes have evolved, so has our menu. Today, you'll discover dozens of
mouth-watering sandwiches, gourmet pizzas, freshly-tossed salads, generous
wraps, hearty baked potatoes and more. Made for you, just like our original
sandwiches back in 1971. Guess you could say even with our new, expanded
menu, we're still true to our roots.
We even pioneered
free Internet access via Cool Deli® computer stations for our guests
and wireless Cool Cloud broadband. Now that we think about it, we
were fast casual dining before fast casual was even invented.

A new franchisee will receive support through the entire restaurant development

Site Selection
Our real estate team has over 30 years of restaurant real estate experience.
We utilize the most current data available to the industry to help analyze
the viability of a location.
Architectural/Design
Our Design department will provide a new franchisee with a schematic layout
of the restaurant space. We will offer guidance through the architectural
and construction phase, as well as provide direction for furniture and
equipment purchasing.
Training
Schlotzsky's University in Austin is a three-week program in Company-operated
restaurants. Our training personnel cover all aspects of running a successful
Schlotzsky's restaurant: from hiring team members, to proper accounting
procedures.
Opening Support
Two onsite trainers remain with a new restaurant operator for fifteen
days during opening. These professionals help train the staff and remain
to oversee the opening of the restaurant.
On-going Support
Programs
Our support does not end once your restaurant is up and running. Our professional
staff continues to develop and deliver programs geared toward improving
business.
